IP Secure Router

Code: EK-IF1-SEC-TP

New
IP Secure Router

Description

The Ekinex® EK-IF1-SEC-TP secure IP router realizes a bidirectional data connection between a PC or laptop and a KNX bus system via a LAN network.

Supporting the tunneling protocol, the IP router allows addressing, parameter setting, visualization, protocolling and diagnosis of KNX bus devices via ETS.

The device also integrates KNX line and area coupler functionality; telegrams can be exchanged between KNX TP bus lines via a high-speed TCP/IP backbone. It features an extended filter table for main groups 0..31 and supports up to 8 simultaneous KNXnet/IP tunneling connections.

The device features an integrated KNX bus communication module and is designed for mounting on a 35 mm profile rail. The power supply is supplied directly via the KNX bus without requiring an external auxiliary power supply. As a secure router, it prevents unauthorized access and data manipulation across the automation infrastructure.

Connections and Installation

  • KNX TP standard red/black bus terminal block connection
  • Standard RJ45 Ethernet port for TCP/IP backbone and LAN connection
  • Mounting on 35 mm profile rail according to EN 60715 (1 modular unit = 18 mm)
  • Power supplied directly via KNX bus line (21-30 Vdc) with no external power supply needed
